Bring American flag forward. Have one older scout carry the flag and all other scouts in uniform follow behind in a single file line. Line up along the front of the stage with the first person to speak holding the microphone.

After all scouts are lined up, start reading the following. Each statement should be read by a different scout. After each scout is done reading their line, hand the microphone to the next scout.

In 1918, on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day in the eleventh month, the world rejoiced and celebrated.

After four years of bitter war, "the war to end all wars" was over.

World War I was over.

In remembrance of the end of World War I, November 11th is known as Veteran's Day.

We remember the veterans who served their country with honor.

We remember the soldiers killed and missing in action throughout our nation’s history.

We remember all the soldiers currently fighting to keep our country free.

Please rise and join us in the Pledge of Allegiance. Please place your hand over your heart.

I pledge allegiance to the flag ... (complete pledge)

Please be seated.

All scouts should be seated with their classes.

A closing ceremony is required also. This can be accomplished with only two scouts. One to ask the audience to rise, and one to retrieve the flag.

Scout 1: Please rise as we retrieve our American Flag
